The Commission published last week, on 17 September, a “Prior Information Notice” where we announce our plans to launch a call for the EU Fab project beginning 2022.
The Commission is setting up the EU FAB flexible manufacturing project, a network of ever-warm single and/or multi-technology production capacities for vaccine and therapeutics manufacturing in the EU, to support large-scale production of medical countermeasures, maintain and quickly guarantee access to sufficient production capacity. The goal is to greatly reduce the time needed between development and industrial scale-up.
