Copenhagen Spin-outs

Copenhagen Spin-outs is a collaboration between the academic research environment and industry with a focus on innovation and commercialisation of biotech research in the capital region area. In the project we will focus on strenthening the collaboration between universities, research parks and investors to speed up the effort to promote the good ideas from the research institutions and turn them into sustainable biotech companies. The spin-outs will work within the areas of MedTech, Diagnostics, Pharmaceuticals as well as Industrial biotech and Food.

Copenhagen Spin-outs run from 2012-2014, and is funded with 20 million DKK from EU Regional Fund, 8 million DKK from the Captal Regions Growth Forum and 12 million DKK from the partners.

Copenhagen Capacity

The official organisation assisting companies interested in setting up or investing in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, or the Øresund region. Copenhagen Capacity is the official investment agency of Greater Copenhagen – the capital region of Denmark – set up to promote Copenhagen to potential corporate investors and to assist companies in establishing an organisation in Copenhagen. Our services are free of charge.

The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif)

The Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry (Lif) is an association with 41 member companies which cover app. 90 percent of the sale of pharmaceuticals in Denmark. The majority of industrial medical research in Denmark lies with Lif’s members. Lif looks after the general commercial, political and social interests of the pharmaceutical industry, and at the same time the association is responsible for extensive information processing to the members.

Danish Venture Capital Association

Danish Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (DVCA) is an association with the goal of strengthening its member’s business, network and competences. DVCA member group include a broad range of high technological investors in Denmark. Furthermore the organisation covers the whole investment chain from individual business angels over venture companies into institutional investors.

Invest in Denmark is part of the Danish Trade Council in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Our mission is to service foreign companies considering the possibility of establishing business operations in Denmark. Medicoindustrien

Medicoindustrien is the industry organisation of companies in Denmark which develop, manufacture, sell or otherwise take an interest in CE-marked medical devices. Medicoindustrien‘s object is to promote the commercial and political interests of its member companies. In Denmark, Medicoindustrien is a consultation partner to the authorities in questions and matters related to the medical device industry. Medicoindustrien is an active member of councils and committees that have influence on the business conditions of the industry.

Medicon Valley Alliance

Medicon Valley Alliance (MVA) is a member financed network organisation within the biotech and life science area. MVA works to improve the conditions for science and knowledge production, technology transfer, innovation and for the preconditions for enterprises to exploit this knowledge. In addition MVA works to visualize the potential of activities in both Sweden and Denmark as well as internationally.

NaNet – The Danish Nanotechnology Network

The purpose of Nanet is to build bridges between the Danish industry and research institutions within the field of nanotechnology in order to create growth and innovation for existing and future players in this area.
NaNet is a high technological network supported by the Danish Ministry of Science and has 70 members from public and private organizations and companies. NaNet has 6 offices located in Kgs. Lyngby (headquarter), Copenhagen, Sønderborg, Tåstrup, Aalborg and Århus, respectively.

Science Park Association Denmark

The Science Park Association in Denmark is an organization of science parks and innovative incubators in Denmark. The Association is a nationwide forum for exchange of experience and opinion formation about innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, capital injection etc. The Association plays an active role in the effort of increasing the public and private interplay, commercialization of research and creating new jobs.

Pharmadanmark

Pharmadanmark is the association for all professionals with a qualification in the area of pharmaceutics or who is employed within the pharmaceutical area.
Pharmadanmark has more than 4,500 members being professionals within the pharmaceutical sciences . They are typically employed within the pharmaceutical industry, the public sector and private pharmacies.
Pharmadanmark aims to secure its members the best conditions in terms of pay, employment and career development. Pharmadanmark will achieve this using an unique knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector.
